PromptLeash has been officially named as a finalist for the Best Application of Responsible AI at the Australian AI Awards 2026. This award recognises the "AI solution that has most successfully demonstrated autonomy while adhering to responsible and ethical frameworks". We are one of the ten finalists, sharing the spotlight with organisations such as Telstra, Origin and Prospa. How are we able to become a leader in Responsible AI as such a young Australian company?
What PromptLeash Does
PromptLeash helps enterprises analyse and improve how their AI spend is being leveraged throughout the organisation. We connect to the AI tools, models and agents to gather relevant data and present it in a clear, continuously updated view of AI adoption. That view shows where AI is working well, which teams and workflows need support, and where the next dollar of investment should go to maximise ROI.
How We Are Leading the Pack in Responsible AI
The majority of focus around responsible AI is on the models and how they are trained, tested and controlled. However, we have taken a closer look into enterprises and found that a lot of the changes can be made in how thousands of people use AI every day. An organisation cannot govern, improve or account for AI use it cannot see.
Three principles shape how we have built PromptLeash.
- Data stays under the customer's control. PromptLeash runs inside the customer's own environment to analyse usage data locally rather than being sent to us. The analysis runs separately from live AI requests, so it never sits between employees and the tools they rely on.
- Transparency leaders can act on. Many organisations cannot answer fundamental questions about their own AI use, such as whether sensitive information is being handled in line with policy or whether AI outputs are being reworked before they can be used. PromptLeash measures compliance as part of adoption so that risk and value are visible in the same place.
- Measurement in service of people. The purpose of measuring AI use is to help people leverage this emerging tool more effectively. Our focus is capability. We find where teams need support, where training should be targeted, and where people are already doing excellent work that others can learn from. Access to insights is controlled by role, and they are designed to guide development and investment decisions.
Where We Are Heading
As AI takes on more of the work, the conversation drifts away from the quantity of usage and towards the quality of judgement. This is where we see responsible AI heading, and it is where PromptLeash is heading too. Organisations need to understand how roles and processes are changing, keeping human oversight where it matters most, and making sure capability keeps pace with the technology.
